White Beach

4 kilometres long – West coast - Central Boracay

4 Kilometres of white sparkling sand and warm clear blue sea, gently sloping off to coral reefs, it has everything for the dedicated sun worshipper to the active watersports lovers. Hidden behind the palm trees are the resorts and the shops which are small and local style but growing to demand. The ‘main pathway' is always a pleasure to walk down or just to sit outside one of the numerous bars and watch the world go by.

If you have had enough of lying in the sun playing Frisbee or volley ball, you can take a sail trip, hire a jet ski or go windsurfing or kite boarding, if there is wind of course. Shoes have little use here, as the sand goes up the beach through the palm tress and all the way to the bar and restaurant fronts. Flip flops are standard wear on the island, shoes and trainers the domain of the middle aged foreign tourist. Many do not wear footwear at all and happily sunbath, shop and visit restaurants and walk the sandy main path barefoot…..wonderful.

Evening White Beach is a fun bustling walk full of life and activity till 1 to 3 am, with a few 24 hr establishments to keep you drinking and fed, till sunrise. There are restaurants that cover food from all corners of the world and some ‘restaurants' at a very high standard, most at a good standard. As the old saying goes ‘you get what you pay for' but the likelihood is, it's much cheaper than home, wherever you are from.

White Beach starts in the south at ‘Angol' which is very lovely with small bars and very little activity and runs up past the main area of white beach, past ‘Willies Rock' and up past ‘Fridays Resort' to Boracay Terraces. The North end is where the high-end luxurious resorts are and even finer white sand.

White Beach is without doubt the ‘Boracay Strip' or ‘Boracay central'.

The beach runs parallel to the road, which is not visible from the beach, and the tricycle traffic is well hidden from the beautiful scenery. This leaves White Beach as a comfortable drift of holiday makers and locals.
